Some quick notes/info about this data:
- You will notice that for Storybook Theatre we have a section line called ‘LGBTQIA2S+’. That is because, Storybook Theatre actually compiles their own statistics for their projects! We are happy to honour their process. We highly recommend checking out their commitment to inclusion and diversity on their website.
- For ‘Making Love with the Land Performance’ and ‘Christmas Carol: A Drag Story’, we show data reflecting their core cast and creative team. There were other people involved in the projects that we were not able to get information on, but if we do, we will update those numbers!
#YYCTheatreStats is now generously supported by Calgary Arts Development! These statistics are used for information and research purposes only. Contact us on Facebook or email us at email@example.com if you have any corrections.
NOTE: This data does not reflect any diversity beyond perceived and indicated race and gender. It is important to say that representation of BIPOC folx, women, non-binary people, gender-nonconforming people, 2 Spirited folx, disabled people, LGBTQIA+ folx, and others who come from oppressed communities, mean very little if we are not committing to Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppression work in our practices. Representation is a step in the lifelong journey towards Anti-Oppression.
